About Me
Who am I to say such things?
I am trained as a visual communication designer, but currently I’ve got the hots for web-based interaction that is community and participation-centric, empowers users as consumers and citizens. I helped to establish a young professionals network for people who are passionate about cultural transformation, sustainability and purposeful work .

What do I do?
I could call myself a Social Innovator, because i looked at Wikipedia, and it describes all other ‘stuff’ I do. But I prefer sticking with ‘designer’ because I think designers are problem-solvers. And I am just applying my knowledge about design processes to engage with opportunities for positive change that come up in our communities.

I currently serve as the chair of the Sustainability Trust. Our trust makes peoples homes warmer, assists people to adopt more sustainable behaviour and hosts collaborations to catalyse our shared knowledge, resources and problem solving around sustainability. www.sustaintrust.org.nz
What do I love?
My favourite things about the ‘new world’ that I see emerging around me today; a culture of care, new and remembered social processes, the opportunities for connection and meaning that the quest for ‘sustainability’ has generated, deeply happy people who hold complexity with grace. I also love the ukulele. It is a significant part of creating a happier world. www.ukulele.co.nz
What are my areas of interest and expertise?
Facilitation, creative process, social innovation, building networks & learning communities, creating teams and participatory leadership, strategic communication design, behaviour change, asking big questions, ukulele playin’, singing, cooking and laughing.
